About Sadek

Born and raised in Egypt’s flat Nile country, I had little interest in photography until my first visit to the Swiss Alps in 2008. With my first camera, a Sony H3, I fell in love with the mountains, and photography became a lifelong passion alongside my professional career.

Since then I’ve travelled the world in search of the perfect light, photographing landscapes in Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Italy, Germany, Canada, the United States and Kenya, and across Saudi Arabia, the country I call home.

My work spans landscape, astrophotography, wildlife and cityscape photography. In recognition of that work, I’m a Huawei XMAGE Award winner.

Teaching is as important to me as shooting. I founded Fotorangers, a photography education community that delivers more than 45 workshops every year, and I lead small-group photo tours for enthusiasts who want to return home with dramatic, unique images and the skills to keep making them.
